Clomid is usually used at the end of a course of steroids to help bring back up natural levels of testosterone which have been suppressed by the steroid. It will also remove any estrogen which has been produced. It can also be used during a cycle if signs of gyno appear. The usual dose is 1-2 tablets per day. Its best to wait a week or two after coming off the steroid course before you use the clomid as the steroids will still be active in your body until then.
